Park City’s Best Sandwich Shop – Back Door Deli is Fresh and Delicious

7 June 2009 By: Casey One Comment | Restaurant Reviews

Ask any Park City local what their favorite sandwich shop is and I bet you 9 out of 10 would mention Back Door Deli.  Originally founded in Jackson Hole, WY in 1997, Back Door Deli moved to Park City a few years ago and has become Park City’s ultimate sandwich shop! Run by brother’s Brett and TK, these two deli aficionados know what great customer service is all about.  They are easily considered the most friendly restaurateurs in Park City and always take care of the regulars, as well as new customers.

Back Door is famous for their incredible sandwich menu with over 50 different options to choose from. Their sandwich menu includes 10 different vegetarian options, traditional deli fare, and a large variety of unique sandwich ingredients. Brett and TK load up their sandwiches with generous portions of their fresh ingredients and are happy to cater to special requests. If you want something substituded or custom made, don’t hesistate to ask.

back-door-deliOur 6 Favorite Sandwiches:

#40 – Brie, artichoke hearts, tomato, red onion, lettuce and herbed olive oil on a sourdough baguette.

#48 – Roasted turkey, fresh basil leaves, goat cheese, cucumbers, spinach and herbed olive oil on a sourdough baguette ( we recommend it warmed).

#51 – “ROGER’S HOT ITALIAN” – Ham, dry salami, spicy salami, genoa salami, onions, banana peppers, tomato, roasted red peppers, lettuce, provolone, herbed olive oil, mayo on a French baguette-Served Hot.

#2 – Chicken or tuna salad, muenster cheese, cucumber, spinach, cream cheese and mayo on challah.

#25 – Ham, mortadella, genoa salami, dry salami, smoked mozzarella, lettuce, onion, and herbed olive oil on a sourdough baguette

#30 – Roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, muenster cheese, cucumber, spinach and herbed olive oil on a kaiser roll

The Back Door Deli also offers daily home-made soup, pasta salads (Greek, Pesto, or Balsamic), and a variety of lunch sized salads.  As far as soup is concerned, I think they have the best Tomato soup in Park City! It’s rich, it creamy, and I will someday steal their coveted secret recipe! Salad choices include a Cobb salad, a Greek salad, Tuna & Chicken salad plates, and an Asian salad.  Back Door Deli also has half soup and salad combos and half sandwich and soup combos that change on a daily/weekly basis.

As far as I’m concerned, Back Door is the perfect place to go after a mountain bike ride, before a picnic, or to grab a sandwich to take with you for Deer Valley’s Concert Series every Wednesday.  A special thanks to Brett and TK for always taking care of us and for helping share your incredible food with Park City.  We love you!

Back Door DeliThe Back Door Deli is located on the corner of Suede Alley and Heber Avenue in The Gateway Building.  Parking is generally easy in the Summer with a large parking lot right across the street.  They offer a small amount of indoor seating, with approximatly 5 -6 tables, and some outdoor seating so you can enjoy the sunshine as much as your food.
