Most Park City locals know exactly where to go in town for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.  However, when it comes to event planning, not many know where to turn for the best catering services. So I spent the last few weeks trying to uncover the favorite catering company in town and the same company was mentioned over and over. Done to Your Taste Catering is an enormously popular and successful local catering company owned and operated by Eileen Dunn, and according to no less than 20 random strangers on Main Street, the best catering company in Park City.

I contacted Eileen and asked her a few questions via email about her catering company so that I could share her great venture with everyone in Park City. Eileen began Done to Your Taste Catering in 1995 in a very small one bedroom apartment on Park Ave. in Park City and was inspired by her love of food, love of good service, and a passion for entertaining.  The following are some questions and answers about Park City’s most popular catering company.

What events do you generally cater for?

We cater weddings, corporate parties and retreats, private clients, all types of events from intimate gatherings to grand affairs. Done To Your Taste Catering offers full event services including unique venues, distinctive, customized menus, meticulous planning and flawless service to create the most memorable event; as well as, gourmet meal deliveries, – in-house private chefs, and organic-sustainable menus.

Casey: How does your background play into your current role as a caterer and as a business woman?

Eileen: I started over 28 years ago in the hospitality field working at the five -star hotel, Stanford Court, in San Francisco which was a sister property of Deer Valley Resort. Had the opportunity in 1985 to move to Park City and work at Deer Valley Resort, #1 ski resort in food and service, worked in management at the 5-Star, 5-Diamond, Stein Eriksen lodge, and the award winning Riverhorse on Main Restaurant. Ultimately, establishing my own successful business in the hospitality and food service industry.

Has the slumping economy affected your business/profit margins this year?

Although catering and events are down this year, it gave us time to evaluate, step-back and develop additional areas of business. We are now able to offer more than ever before.
