Park City’s Best Summer Restaurants and Outdoor Patios

26 June 2009 By: Casey No Comment | Editor's Picks

With plenty of blue bird days and warm temperatures in the forecast, Summer has finally arrived in Park City, and looks like its here to stay. What better way to celebrate this beautiful weather than enjoying a fabulous lunch or delicious dinner outside on one of the many cozy restaurant patios in Park City. Here’s a list of my favorite places to dine in the Summer.

Baja Cantina

If you are heading up to Park City Mountain Resort to partake in the fun Summer activities, make sure you take your family to Baja Cantina.  Nothing says Summer like a few Margaritas, tasty Steak Fajitas, and their casual outdoor patio covered with just the right amount of shade. One of the most family friendly restaurants in town, Baja is Park City’s most busy restaurants year-round. They are also offering a great dining discount that can be printed here, allowing you to get a free appetizer or dessert with dinner.

Cafe Terigo

The words contemporary, romantic, and charming come to mind when thinking of this local favorite restaurant. Cafe Terigo’s outdoor patio, located in the middle of the action on Main Street, is beautiful and unlike any other patio in Park City. I highly suggest their Fresh Poached Salmon Salad followed by the Bread Pudding with Hot Butter Rum Sauce for dessert. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water and my palms sweat.

Chez Betty

Easily one of Park City’s best restaurants, this flavorful gem has one of the most beautiful restaurant patios in the Summer. Surrounded by flowers, mountains, and privacy, make sure you include Chez Betty on your Summer to-do list. Chef Jerry Garcia serves up a creative American menu that he considers “lighter than French”, newly updated for the Summer season. If you are celebrating a birthday, romantic anniversary, or just want to impress your taste-buds, I can think of no better restaurant in Park City.

Easy Street Brasserie & The Bar Boheme

Owned and operated by The Sky Lodge, Easy Street Brasserie has one of the coolest and newest outdoor dining areas in Park City. Tucked away from the crowds on Main, Easy Street’s outdoor atmosphere is classy, but casual, and incredibly festive. They often offer live music and boast amazing French inspired cuisine. Easy Street is a great option for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner if your looking for a warm, charming, and cozy Main Street experience.

Royal Street Cafe at Deer Valley Ski Resort

Deer Valley does it right yet again! Famous for caring about customer service and offering truly incredible food, Deer Valley is our favorite resort in Park City when it comes to our stomachs. Located at the mid-mountain Silver Lake Lodge, The Royal Street Cafe is their Summer award-winning restaurant. Their menu features great appetizers, salads, paninis, and Deer Valley’s famous Turkey Chili.  Did we mention the carrot cake? If you haven’t heard, Deer Valley makes the best carrot cake in the world and I can assure you, it will please the most finicky dessert connoisseurs.  Royal Street offers a perfectly located dining patio that allows you to take in the incredibly scenery of Deer Valley’s mountains. We suggest bringing along your mountain bike for a post lunch ride, as Deer Valley has the best lift-served mountain bike trails in Summit County.

The Stew Pot

This local friendly hidden secret is often over-looked by tourists and Park City visitors. Easily my favorite Park City lunch spot during the Summer season, The Stew Pot is affordable, casual, and has amazing home-made cuisine that makes it the perfect place to eat lunch 7 days a week! Located inside of the Deer Valley Plaza Building, The Stew Pot’s outdoor patio overlooks the lake in lower Deer Valley,  surrounded by truly incredible breaktaking views. Favorite menu items include their Jambalaya, Curry Chicken Salad Sandwich, and Veggie Sandwich.

Windy Ridge

Another local favorite hidden hot-spot is Windy Ridge. Their food is incredible, fresh, and always consistent. Their out-door patio is chic, alive, and the perfect place to gather with friends for dinner on warm Summer evenings.  Not only is their food great, but their dedication to Park City local’s and food enthusiasts is above and beyond most restaurants in Park City, offering a wildly popular restaurant promotion on Tuesdays! Every Tuesday night is $2 taco night with $3.50 margaritas and $2 tecates! Stuffed with chcken, beef, or fish, these tacos are incredible, if not the best little tacos in town! In order to get a table on Tuesays, make sure you head there early or very late for dinner, as it has quickly become the place to eat on Tuesdays! I’ll see you there!

There are many places to eat in Park City, but during the Summer months, make sure you enjoy the best outdoor dining options available. These are just a few of my personal favorites with the best views and scenery in town. If you have other suggestions for great outdoor dining in Park City, let us know! We love to hear your opinions on the best restaurants in Park City.  Now go fill up your belly’s and enjoy the sunshine!
