Park City’s Best Vegetarian Friendly Restaurants – Not Just Salads
Anyone who has any sort of eating restriction knows how annoying it can be to out to eat. After answering countless emails about Park City’s vegetarian restaurant options this year, I thought it would be a pretty good idea to list them here on our blog. Each restaurant has a link to the Park City Restaurant Guide so that you can read reviews on the restaurant. I’ve also included links to each restaurant’s menu so you can check it out for yourself before you go.
So here it is, a list of my favorite Park City vegetarian friendly restaurants …
The Back Door Deli is Park City’s best sandwich shop, hands-down! Their menu features a huge range of over 50 sandwiches, including 11 vegetarian options. If one of their menu options doesn’t blow your skirt up, then you are always welcome to build your own. They also serve up some of the best homemade soup in Park City, great freshly made pasta salads, and incredibly friendly service. Lately my favorite veggie sandwiches are the #30, #39, and #40 which has brie, artichoke Hearts, tomato, red onion, lettuce, and herbed olive oil on a french baguette. Incredible! Check out the Back Door Deli’s menu here.
Both a winner of Best of State Utah in 2008 and the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence, Bangkok Thai knows how to please. Their menu includes an incredible array of Thai vegetarian options and is easily one of the best Thai restaurants in Park City. Almost every dish that Bangkok offers can be modified to either vegetarian or vegan versions. If you have a chance make sure you try the Butternut Squash Soup (available seasonally), Vegetarian Som Tum salad, Spicy Mint Noodle Entree, or any of their 15 vegetarian Curry, Noodle, or Wok Fried Entrees. You can view Bangkok Thai’s menu here.
3. Cafe Terigo
This Contemporary European inspired high-end cafe offers one of the best patio dining experiences in Park City. Cafe Terigo also happens to have great menu selections for vegetarians. Vegetarian friendly menu items include the parmesan flat bread with over roasted tomatoes & goat cheese, daily soup selections, a delicious grilled “veggie” sandwich with sweet onions, zucchini, eggplant, roasted peppers and wild mushrooms on focaccia bread, and my favorite dish, mushroom filled ravioli’s served with a remarkable tomato butter sauce. Cafe Terigo’s menu generally includes around 8 – 10 vegetarian options. Don’t forget to save room for their incomparable Bread Pudding with Hot Butter Rum Sauce for dessert! Your life may never be the same!
4. Cafe Trang
Cafe Trang is a family owned and operated restaurant known for serving some of the best Vietnamese food in the state since 1987. Back in my Vegan days during college, I spent 2-3 days a week eating lunch at Cafe Trang in Salt Lake City, which now offers their great Vietnamese cuisine in Park City. Cafe Trang offers a gigantic vegetarian/vegan menu section including 25 different options including soups, salads, rice dishes, and entrees! My personal favorites include the Garlic Sesame Tofu appetizer, the Bean Curd Rice Noodle Soup, and the Vegan Chicken w/ Broccoli. Check out Cafe Trang’s menu here.
5. Good Karma
Good Karma is Park City’s only restaurant that is nationally recognized for their Indo-Perian Cuisine! They pride themselves on supplying flavorful, healthy, and nutritious cuisine that utilizes seasonal organic products whenever possible. Good Karma is also a vegetarian’s dream restaurant, offering a ridiculous amount of vegetarian/vegan friendly dishes. Everything from their Baked Vegetarian Samosas to their Vegetarian Combo curry dish is sure to please. Here’s a link to Good Karma’s menu.
Okay, Okay. So this place doesn’t really have a huge vegetarian friendly menu, but what it does have is the best damn Veggie Burger in the state of Utah! No joke, I make it a point to eat at No Name Saloon at least once a week so I can sink my teeth into this zesty black bean patty served up with grilled mushrooms, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and sour cream. Not sure how vegan friendly the patty or bread is, but if you have the chance to try, I promise you an incredible burger. In case you are interested, here is a link to their not-so-veggie-friendly menu.
7. Shabu
As if I haven’t given enough love to Shabu on this blog, it seems I just can’t seem to stop talking about them. Shabu, as you all know, is one of my favorite restaurants in Park City for an infinite amount of reasons. They also happen to have some really incredible vegetarian menu offerings including their Coconut Crusted Tofu entree, Tofu Teriyaki Sizzle Pan, Spicy Vegetarian Roll, and their Vegetarian Shabu Shabu. They also have some killer Veggie Tempura and Tofu Noodle bowls. Check out Shabu’s menu here. Again, this is a place to save room for dessert!
Squatters Roadhouse Grill features legendary local beers and an eclectic pub menu. Squatters also crafts some of the best Utah local beers including Chasing Tail Golden Ale and Full Suspension Pale Ale. They also happen to have a fairly extensive vegetarian and vegan menu selection. Favorites include their Brewhouse Hummus, Muhammara, Charbroiled Tofu Tacos, Tomato Bisque soup (amazing!), and amazing Tempeh Salad. Squatters also has some amazing Veggie Pizzas, a really superb Veggie Burger, and a Grilled Portobello Mushroom Sandwich that is a house favorite. Don’t forget to try their awesome local brews!
Do you know of other restaurants in Park City that offer vegetarian friendly menus? Where’s your favorite place to grab a veggie burger? Let us know and we’ll be happy to include it in our Park City’s Best Vegetarian Restaurants! I hope you have a chance to check out some of these fine Park City restaurants. Let me know what you think!

Thanks for the great post–my husband and I will visit as many of these places as we can during our ski trip next week!
It is very expensive, BUT they offer a variety of vegetarian options and even a vegetarian tasting menu.
Mariposa, at Deer Valley
My wife ordered the vegetarian tasting menu, and she loved it, I had a taste of the dishes and loved even though I am not vegetarian…
Crazy expensive, but if you have vegetarian requirements, it will not only satisfy, but also indulge.
