Spruce Restaurant at Dakota Mountain Lodge Hosting Harvest Dinner Featuring Slow Food

I recently received a newsletter from Spruce Restaurant at the Dakota Mountain Lodge featuring their Harvest Dinner special on Thursday, November 12th. It’s looks like it will be an incredible experience and an opportunity not to miss. Kevin and I had to opportunity to dine at Spruce a few months ago and had a truly amazing evening. So here’s the low down directly from the newsletter for those that are interested in attending this marvelous function:

Slow Food: Farm to Table

spruce-day-boat-scallopsPlease join us at Spruce Park City on Thursday, November 12th for our Slow Food Farmers Dinner highlighting some of Park City and Utah’s best artisinal and seasonal products available. Chef Mark Sullivan invites you to enjoy a luxurious tasting menu where the ingredients are the focus and the dishes are inspired by the season. Together with local farmers, Chef Sullivan will be crafting seasonal fall dishes, each based upon an abundance of the farmer’s ingredients. At this dinner, you will experience the true farm-to-table experience by rubbing elbows and dining with the farmer’s themselves. Many of the ingredients for this evening’s dinner will will be hand picked the day of, leading to a truly unqiue and remarkable dining experience. In addition to Sullivan’s dishes, wine pairings for each course will be poured by our team of sommeliers.

A cocktail reception will begin at 6:00 pm and dinner will start at 6:30. The price of this experience is $100 exclusive of tax and gratuity.

Slow Food is a non–profit, international, eco-gastronomic member-supported organization that was founded in 1989 by Carlo Petrini to counteract fast food and fast life, the disappearance of local food traditions and people’s dwindling interest in the food they eat, where it comes from, how it tastes and how our food choices affect the rest of the world. A portion of the proceeds from this dinner will be given directly back to Slow Food Utah.
