Utah Poker Tour Moves to The Bridge Cafe in Park City

20 December 2010 By: Kevin No Comment | News & Events, The Fall Line

After its incredible success this summer, the Utah Poker Tour and Easy Street at the Sky Lodge have parted ways. But don’t worry, you can still play poker in Park City as part of the Utah Poker Tour. The events are not held twice a week at The Bridge Cafe & Grill on lower Main Street, next to the Town Lift. Poker nights at The Bridge are completely free of charge, and are held every Monday and Thursday night at 7pm.

The Utah Poker Tour has amassed a great following of local Park City residents that play most every week, and it is a great place to meet like-minded poker players in town. Most nights have 3 tables for the main tournament, with the top 4 spots getting “paid”. Since there is no actual buy-in, you are basically free-rolling for gift certificates to The Bridge. First prize is $100, which will pay for quite a few apres ski drinks or dinners for you and your friends! If you happen to bust out of the main tournament early, don’t worry, there are usually a few side tournaments that get underway throughout the night. These side games are single table sit-and-go’s, with first place paying $25. The only money you have to put up is a tip for your dealer.

The Bridge Cafe is a great location for a poker tournament. Their food is excellent, and the servers are always attentive, making sure your drinks are never empty. There are also plenty of TV’s, so you will never miss any football or basketball games this winter. The space is a little tight for 3 or 4 poker tables, but they make it work, and I guarantee you will make some new friends.
